Ruffle Scarves

My favorite thing about making scarves is adding a cute brooch :)  This scarf is a ruffle scarf.  It ruffles at the neck and kind of spirals at the ends.  I have more patterns that I'd like to try out I just need to finish them and put them on here!

I've heard SOOO many moms lament about how it is so hard to dress up their boys.  Well, that's where hats come in! Throw on a white button up shirt and a handsome beanie or cap and voila! I've shown two types of hats here, but the possibilities are endless!

Headbands

I love headbands!  In the winter I like wearing hats, but anyone who knows me knows that I like having my hair done pretty!  So hats usually don't work out because they smash my hear.  Oh the struggles of a diva.  Anyway, I love making and wearing the headbands!  The picture on the left shows the headbands that are thin where it attaches in the back and get wider towards the forehead.  In the picture on the right I've made some straight headbands--my favorite :)

Trivet

What is a trivet you ask?  It's something you put under a hot dish so it doesn't scorch your table :)  Not to be mistaken for a hotpad, this trivet would look great on your dinner table with colors to match any season.  Because after all, everything has to match! I know, I inherited my issues from my mother.

Washcloths and Scrubbies

Just in time for Christmas!  These washcloth sets and/or scrubbies make excellent gifts.  I don't like to sell anything without making sure that it's a great product, so I made myself a set of both and I absolutely love them!  Even Jeff is more willing to wash dishes with these awesome scrubbies!  The washcloths are excellent too.  The bubble pattern gives a little more scrubbing power than regular flat washcloths.

Santa's Workshop

Hello again everyone!  I know it has been way too long since I last posted, but I want to tell all of you about a Holiday Boutique that I am participating in.  :)   It is called Santa's Workshop and I will be selling lots of stuff!  Those of you who grew up in Salina and the surrounding areas will be familiar with the annual "Sub-4-Santa" program.  This boutique has partnered up with Sub-4-Santa for an all out blast of an event!  I will be selling some things that i have posted pictures of like the sock monkey hats and owl hats, but I'll also be selling several things that I have not posted.  There will be lots of different accessories for babies, kids, and adults along with a few other crocheted items that are great to have around the house!  I hope to see you there!  Here is more infortation about the boutique :)

Purse with lining

I finished this purse for another custom order, I loved the big black flower :)  I lined the purse with 100% cotton polka dot.  I also added a pocket because a purse always needs pockets!  Lining the purse was actually really fun!  I was really scared of the project because I thought I would slaughter the project, but I think it turned out pretty good :) I believe my sewing machine deserves the credit.  It's an old bernina that I think will probably last until Penny is a grandma!  It's the most amazing machine, and
I'm so blessed to have it.  THANKS MOM!

Pretty Baby Slippers

I made these slippers for Penny and she LOVES to wear them around the house.  She brings them to me and says "Shoes! Shoes!"  They are so comfy for her!  These as well as my other items can definitely be customized.  I can do a flower instead of a bow, or I can do buttons for boys. I can also offset whatever accessory is chosen so it's on the side instead of the middle :)

Warning: Slight Baby Nudity

Penny has begun taking her diaper off.  She also loves playing dress up.  One morning I came into the living room to find her watching her Sesame Street in this attire :) Haha! She likes to put her pants on by herself but she doesn't like them pulled up all the way. She gets mad unless I let her walk around with her pants like so! Of course, she's usually wearing a diaper, but needless to say, she's going to be a Diva!

Striped hat variation

Nostalgia

This hat is one I made for Penny a long time ago; the first hat I was really proud of!  It was so cute on her!  I can't believe how fast she's grown... it makes me want to cry...

Purse

This purse took a little longer than expected but I sure love it!  It's big enough to fit what I need but it's not so big that it would fit the kitchen sink.  I plan on making some alterations, more pictures to come!

Striped hat

This hat was so fun!  I love stripes and circles.  I have also done this hat with flowers and it turned out pretty smashing if I do say so myself.  In the picture on the left I attached a red doily with a flower in the center.  It may be my new favorite!

Sock Monkey Hat

Here it is.  The Sock Monkey Hat.  I have always loved these!  I hope they NEVER go out of style because they're absolutely adorable!  I can make these in any color.  The most popular seems to be the tan, but if you dare to order perhaps a purple striped monkey hat (my daughter has a purple striped sock monkey, I'm going to try a hat!) please let me know!
